The Central Plains Capitals are in Winnipeg AAA Bantam hockey tonight at the PCU Centre.

The Caps are currently ranked second place in the West Division with a 19-10-1 record, 17 points back of the first place Brandon Wheat Kings. The Caps went 5-2 through the month of January, winning their last two games over the Wolves 11-1 and 12-3. Parkland's 4-1 in their last 5, and only 6 points back of Central Plains.

Capitals' Head Coach Mike Neill says Parkland can be a frustrating team at times.

"They're kind of a mystery team there now and then. When they put their A team together, and come out with an all out effort. They're difficult to handle at times, I know they've been playing very well as of late, so we're not taking them for granted that's for sure."

Neill says they've really found their groove recently, and need to stick with it.

"Like we've been harping at all year long, consistency in play. We need to put solid games together, which the team is doing a much better effort at. Playing consistently in all aspects of the game, and keep that work ethic going."

The Caps will be donating their portion of the 50-50 draw to the Central Plains Capitals Female Bantam player Taylor Piskor. Puck drop is set for 7:15 p.m. at the PCU Centre.
