The Central Plains Capitals host the Winnipeg Thrashers in Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League action at the PCU Centre tonight.

The Caps haven't been able to steal a win from the Thrashers this season, losing their last two meetings in a shootout and overtime. Caps' forward Brody Moffat expects another tight game tonight.

"Obviously they're a good team, we've had some good games against them this year. We're going to have to step up against these better teams as playoffs come up, so it should be good."

Moffat says there's a real buzz in their dressing room.

"Pretty confident. We haven't been in a playoff position in a while. So obviously the guys are excited, and nerves come with that. So we'll just have to see what happens coming up here."

The Caps are only 5 points back of the 4th place Thrashers. They'll need to win this one in regulation, as to not surrender the extra point to their opponents. Tonight's game goes at 8 at the PCU Centre.
