The Central Plains Capitals have one representative named to this year's Manitoba AAA Midget All-Star team.

Caps' leading point scorer Ryan Sinclair was named to the Second Team All-Stars, along with 11 other players from around the league. Sinclair's from Winnipeg, and was picked up by the Capitals for the 2014-15 season. He says being named to the All-Star team came as surprise.

"It's just a good feeling. I didn't even think about the All-Stars, I didn't think they were even having it because there's no game or anything. But it's nice to get mentioned, and noticed."

Sinclair has 42 points in 34 games played, 15 assists and 27 assists, and is second in the league for total points. This is his second year with the Capitals and he talks about being a more veteran presence for the team.

Caps' forward Ryan Sinclair

"I came in with a little more confidence this year being one of the older guys. I just took that, and played my game, and it's been going well."

The Central Plains Capitals are currently in 5th place, and have a very good shot at hosting a playoff series. Sinclair says the whole team's buying in this season.

"This organization hasn't done that well in the past -- I think we're pretty close to beating the record for points in a season. The boys are just rolling right now and it's a good feeling."
