After a very short season due to weather conditions, the PCI Saints fast pitch team is looking for another Zone 4 title. The team only managed to get in two games in the regular season - a win over Sanford and a loss to Northlands Parkway of Winker.

It will be a 6 team event and action gets underway at 10 a.m. this morning at Rotary Republic Park. The Miller Aces will meet the PCI Saints and the Morden Thunder will take on the Garden Valley Zodiacs in the quarterfinals.

The winners will join the Carman Cougars and Northlands Parkway Nighthawks in the semifinals for games at noon.

GVC outscored Sanford 16-13 in a play-in game Tuesday.

The Saints have had a dominant run in fast pitch with 8 zone championships and 4 provincial titles in the last 15 years.

In the meantime, the Zone 4 High School Baseball playoffs are also on but in Altona. The Miller Aces face the Carman Cougars at 10 a.m. That winner will meet Portage Collegiate in the semifinals at 1 p.m. The Garden Valley Zodiacs will take on Northlands Parkway Nighthawks at 10 a.m. and the Morden Thunder will face the Sanford Sabres at 1 p.m. Those winners will meet in the other semifinal at 4 p.m. The championship game is scheduled for 7 p.m.
