An eight year member of the RM of Westbourne Council's looking to step into the reeve's position October 25th.

David Single of Plumas is the only candidate so far, following Ed Stroeder's announcement he's stepping aside to run for the provincial Conservative nomination in Ste. Rose.

Single has several issues he wants to work on, including expansion of the water system, as well as improving planning and zoning through a planning district.
Single also favours amalgamation with the town of Gladstone. He notes it means people deal with one government body, there would fewer councillors, and they could share machinery costs.

Single feels his strength is in communication, adding cooperation is important for the RM.
