Those heading toward Portage la Prarie from Winnipeg can expect the trip to take a little longer Monday evening, as a truck fire on Highway 1 just east of Headingley is causing gridlock.

The incident reportedly began around 9 p.m., with the cause of the blaze being unknown at this time.
