The Portage Collegiate Trojans are one of the final four teams in the Manitoba Baseball Provincials.

PCI played their second round-robin game today and took down William Morton Collegiate 14-13 to secure the top spot in their pool. CJ Koss, Jace Boychuk, and Alex Van Deynze were the first three batters in the order and combined for eight runs in the contest.

Less than an hour later, PCI was back on the diamond to take on the hosting Vincent Massey Vikings in the quarter-final. Tyler Olson pitched a complete game to lead the Trojans to a 19-9 victory and move onto the semi-finals tomorrow morning.

Carter Moorhouse and Layne Rands were major contributors in the batter's box against Vincent Massey. Moorhouse picked up six RBIs, hitting a pair of doubles when the bases were loaded and crossed home plate twice as well. Rands notched three base hits, three RBIs, and crossed home plate twice himself.

Portage will now be in action tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. against the Stonewall Rams. The winner of the semi-final matchups will face off in the final tomorrow at 1:00 at Andrews Field in Brandon.
