Over $3000 -- that's how much Portage's Dairy Queen raised during Miracle Treat Day yesterday.

About 20 stores in Manitoba raised money for the Children's Hospital in Winnipeg.

Employee Robyn  Halliday says it was one of the busiest days she has ever seen, adding everyone was eager to help the kids.

Meanwhile employee Debbie Reichelt thinks everyone knows of a child who has been affected by the Children's Hospital and believes that's why treat day is so popular.

The Dairy Queen in Portage sold almost 500 blizzards.
