The Portage Terriers are adding a veteran forward to the roster.
The Dogs have acquired 20-year-old Jamie Valentino from the Estevan Bruins in exchange for the CJHL list rights to forward Caelan Fitzpatrick.
Valentino spent 2019 to 2021 with the Swan Valley Stampeders but was traded to the eventual SJHL Champions midway through this season. He put up a combined total of 33 points in 51 games between the Bruins and Stampeders last season and spent 129 minutes in the penalty box. During the Bruins playoff run, he scored two goals and dished out five assists.

The Thompson product also has Centennial Cup experience, which will be big for the Terriers' locker room as they prepare to host the prestigious tournament in 2023.
Fitzpatrick was acquired by the Terriers to finish off the future considerations aspect of last season's Kian Calder trade. The 19-year-old forward has committed to Niagara University, of the NCAA.
