The Terriers were able to lock down the Selkirk Steelers for their fifth straight win.

Supporters of the Dogs filled Stride Place on Louis Riel Day to see the Terriers decimate the Selkirk Steelers 8-0. The win propels the team to 37-10 on the season.

While the Terriers were all over the scoresheet, it took almost the entire first period for the Dogs to open the floodgates. Ryan Botterill scored his 35th goal of the season as he found the back of the net with less than ten seconds left in the first period.

Portage Terriers.

The second period was also fairly tame for the Terriers, but they still beat the Steelers goalie twice, with Kian Calder and Austin Peters continuing the offensive attack.

The third period is where the onslaught truly began, as Daniel Siso scored less than a minute into the period, the first of five goals in this period for the Dogs. Austin MacLean and Noah Wagner each lit up the back of the net, while Siso and Calder each found their second of the game.

Brandon McCartney had himself a night as well, picking up four assists throughout the game.

Jayden Catellier.

While it was a relatively simple night for goalie Jayden Catellier, he was perfect, turning away all 15 shots sent his way en route to the victory.

The Terriers will be back in action this coming Friday as they host the Neepawa Titans.
