A "gritty hard-working player" has been added to the Portage Terrier lineup according to assistant coach Paul Harland. The Dogs have acquired 19-year-old forward Dylan Tanner from the English River Miners of the SIJHL for Future Considerations.

The Waywayseecappo product played 53 games last year for his hometown Wolverines before being traded to the Miners in August. Standing at 6'0" 181 lbs, the veteran forward picked up 7 goals, 8 assists and 138 penalty minutes last season.

"He's a guy that plays the game hard," says Harland. "We feel we need a little bit of that in the lineup. He's a gritty guy that will work hard at both ends of the ice."
