The Portage RCMP detachment has welcomed a new face to their team.

Duncan Munro is filling the shoes of staff sergeant and has been adjusting to a new setting.

It's been a positive experience for him so far and describes his first impression as positive.

Munro joined the RCMP in 1988 after receiving his training in Alberta.  Since then he's completed several postings before being transferred locally.  This includes Swan River, Thompson, and Strathmore.

He looks forward to his posting here in Portage, as it's a promotional opportunity.
