They moved to Portage in 1966 when he began working at Campbell Soup until its closure. He then became employed at Portage Co-op and stayed there many years until his retirement. During his many years of employment Bob found the time to build his family home where he resided until his passing.

His past times included camping, fishing, bowling, woodworking and playing cards with numerous friends. He loved watching his grandchildren play their various sports as they grew up.
Bob spent the last two months in the Portage District General Hospital and the family would like to thank the doctors and the staff for their support during this time.
A private family interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery this spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob’s memory to Central Plains Cancer Services 318 Saskatchewan Avenue East Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 0K8 or to Diabetes Canada 401-1 Wesley Avenue Winnipeg, MB R3C 4C6.
