An issue that's been ongoing for 20 years in the RM of North Norfolk is being addressed.

Manitoba Water Stewardship has ordered water quality at the Rossendale bulk loading station be brought up to Canadian Drinking Water Standards.

Drinking Water Officer Jack Cronk says the matter is now in the hands of the RM. He believes they'll consult with the Manitoba Water Services Board on the best way to proceed.
Bi-weekly water testing is to begin immediately, and Cronk notes the RM's options include on-site treatment of connecting with the Yellowhead regional system.

He adds the well was originally for agricultural use only, and houses now on the system should never have been connected.
