The Central RHA will go about their recruiting a little differently.
They've raised their standards in hiring international medical graduates, requiring more than just a written exam.
Doctor Denis Fortier -- the regional chief of staff -- likes the changes, and believes all RHAs will benefit, as they can testify to lacking recruits. The graduates will now be required to successfully complete an interview and a three-month assessment in a clinical setting.
Fortier says the new recruiting process will address the flaws of their previous system by better determining which of the grads are practice-ready.
