The past-president of the Portage Chamber of Commerce says there's something missing from the province's tax cut plan released a week ago.

Chris Dyer explains it stems back from last year's resolutions put forth by the chamber.

They asked for a Trades Income Tax Credit and the elimination of the Payroll Tax. By eliminating the payroll tax, Dyer says the province will be more competitive in attracting new industries, and will free up more dollars to be invested within a business.

The province looks to cut 80 million dollars in taxes by reducing corporate and small business taxes, among other initiatives.
