The Manitoba Games has announced its return for the first time since pre-pandemic.

The multi-sport provincial event is set to take place in Dauphin from August 11-17 next year. This is the 18th edition of the games. It will see five different regions of Manitoba (North, South, East, West, and Winnipeg) compete against one another in twelve different sports:

- Golf
- Baseball
- Softball
- Cycling
- Soccer
- Basketball
- Swimming
- Athletics
- Volleyball
- Rugby
- Triathalon
- Sailing

The Manitoba Games will have up to 1750 participants invade the Dauphin community for the week-long event. Athletes between the ages of 10-17 can try out, and an impressive performance in Dauphin could be the stepping stone needed for some of these young competitors to move up to national and international tournaments.

The Manitoba Games takes place every two years, and the host committee is beyond thrilled to bring the event back for the first time since 2018 next year.
