The Portage Padres are back to their winning ways as they defeated the Austin A’s 5-3 last night. The Padres had a three-run fourth inning to take a lead that they wouldn't let go of the rest of the way.

Joey Moffatt picked up his second win of the season on the mound as Portage improves to 2-1-1 this season. Moffatt struck out seven batters in five innings of action with Chris Reykdal closing the game out.

In the batter’s box, Garrett Mall led the way with two hits an RBI and a run as well. Reykdal also added a pair of RBIs.

The Padres will now be off until Tuesday when they hit the road to face off with the Plumas Pirates.
