MB Hydro has informed its customers of the restoration of power for most all of Portage la Prairie as of 1:15 p.m. today (Monday).

MB Hydro has some outages in Portage la Prairie that are likely connected to the current thunderstorm taking place. 

Downtown Portage la Prairie offices first reported outages near 3rd  Street SE, and MB Hydro's outage map soon showed outages at about 11:15 a.m. from 1st St SW to 12th ST NE, and down through Koko Platz and east of Bridge Road.

At 11:22 outages were then reported to be as north as Scott Avenue.

It seems mostly to be localized to the east part of the city and the island.

MB Hydro says the estimated time for restoration is 2:30 p.m. today.

At about 11:30, some office locations noted power was restored.
