After months of searching, the Central Regional Health Authority has hired a new chief executive officer.

Kathy McPhail will take over as CEO, effective March 1, 2007. McPhail is currently the Vice-president of Acute Care and Diagnostic Services in the Brandon RHA.

She says working for the Central RHA is a bit of homecoming for her. She grew up on a farm near Crystal City, with her healthcare career spent in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

McPhail has a wealth of experience and education in healthcare.
She has a Masters in Health Services Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Some of her previous jobs include Health Liaison for Manitoba Health Regional Support Services and Director of Nursing and Acting CEO at Ste. Rose General Hospital.
