Carman citizens will see two additions to their RCMP. Staff Sergeant Marc Lemaiste says after the restructuring of RCMP detachments in March they had an opening for a Corporal position.
That position was filled by Corporal Ken Minty, who was part of the Morden RCMP detachment.
The Carman RCMP will also be receiving a new Constable.
Mike Nakonechy is replacing Constable Richardson who transferred to Thompson.
Constable Nakonechy is joining them from the northern location of Oxford House.
Lemaiste says Constable Nakonechy is looking forward to working in and around the Carman area.
