Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) is asking its customers to be aware of a text scam going on around the province.
The Crown corporation warns that if a customer receives a text message claiming they have missed a payment, do not click on any links provided.
MPI strongly points out that they do not conduct business regarding payments this way.
MPI Customers who have concerns about their account or payments are asked to contact their Autopac agent or Manitoba Public Insurance’s Contact Centre at 204-985-7000 or toll-free at 1-800-665-2410.
