Manitoba's minimum wage is up to $11.65 per hour.

The 30 cent raise officially took effect today (October 1st).

The provincial government made the change based on 2018's 2.5 per cent inflation rate, rounded up to the nearest five cents. The original announcement came in March of this year.

Growth, Enterprise and Trade Minister Blaine Pedersen said in a release that the change was done to keep Manitoba competitive with other provinces.
