The International Institute of Women's Rights - Manitoba wants to hear from you about the possibility of a Gender-Based Analysis Plus policy tool. It's designed to consider diversity factors among groups of women, men and gender-diverse people such as age, education, language, geography, culture, and income when developing and implementing policy.

An anonymous survey was launched earlier today asking Manitobans whether they feel this policy tool would be helpful or if there was another method Manitobans might have in mind.

The reason for this survey has to do with the COVID-19 pandemic. The organization says according to Statistics Canada, over 298-thousand women between the ages of 25 and 54 lost their job during the pandemic, compared to just over 127-thousand men. IIWR-MB hopes that many Manitobans will agree with their call for a GBA+ strategy in hopes of getting the government of Manitoba on-board.
