Hockey's free agency opened on Monday, and contracts are being signed for next season.

That includes the Manitoba Moose, who have re-signed Foxwarren-born defenceman, Dawson Barteaux.

The agreement will see the 24 year-old stay in Manitoba for the next two seasons.

Barteaux played 45 games with the Moose last season after a brief stint with the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL. Over the course of the season, he scored 32 points between the two teams, with 5 goals in 14 assists at the AHL level.

Barteaux has played 57 AHL games previous to this past year, all with the Texas Stars. He was drafted by the Dallas Stars in the sixth round in 2018.
