A Manitoban was chosen 3rd overall in yesterday's NHL entry draft. 18-year-old Jonathan Toews of Winnipeg was snapped up by the Chicago Blackhawks with the third pick.

The talented forward's list of accomplishments includes a Gold medal with Team Canada at the World Juniors, and an NCAA Frozen Four finish with the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux.

Toews says he's focused on Canada's upcoming world junior identification camp, but says he'll be at the Blackhawks' prospects camp early next month.
