Do you have an innovative idea on how to support mental health in your community? If so, Manitoba Blue Cross wants to hear from you.

25-thousand dollars will be awarded to help bring to life a creative idea to support mental health in the province. The Colour of Caring Healthy CommUnity Challenge from Manitoba Blue Cross is going out to individuals and workplaces, and a deadline of September 14th has been set.

All submissions must aim to do one of the following:

- Address a unique need that enhances mental health in the community.
- Support mental fitness and help reduce mental health challenges.
- Create accessible and culturally appropriate mental health services for a targeted community.
- Reduce mental health stigma and promote awareness and understanding.

In a release from Manitoba Blue Cross, president and CEO Benjamin Graham said, "Being a not-for-profit in the health and wellness field, we place significant importance on supporting the mental health of our members and all Manitobans throughout the province. We strive every day to help Manitobans with their mental wellness, and we hope to encourage others to support their community and make positive change through this challenge."

After all submissions have been received, a panel will post a shortlist of entries to the Manitoba Blue Cross website where you can vote on the winner. The voting period will run from October 12th to November 2nd. The entry with the most votes will be announced as the winner November 16th.
