The Bantam Portage Pitbulls are looking to move up in the standings this weekend at Republic Park. Saturday the Dogs will face the Charleswood Broncos. Portage defensive co-ordinator, Miles Irwin, notes the Broncos are the feeder system for Oak Park High School, which is one of the best high school football teams in Winnipeg. Irwin adds his defence is one of the best in the league, adding the offence has shown steady improvement since the begining of the year but to be a better unit they must cut down on mistakes such as fumbles, interceptions, and missed blocks.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will meet the Alouettes in Montreal tomorrow afternoon. The Bombers are 6 and 7 while the Alouettes have lost five in a row after starting the season 7 and 0.
