A new liberal leader is expected to be announced tomorrow.  Liberal party delegates are in Montreal and begin voting today.  Portage delegate Marvin Krawec is in Montreal for the event, he says Portage delegates have put their support behind Gerard Kennedy, who seems to be gaining a lot of attention.  Krawec says people have approached him to tell him they've switched their support to Kennedy after initially showing support for front runner Michael Ignatieff.
He adds liberals are optimistic, noting recent polls suggest the party is very close to the Harper government and that's without a leader.  He feels the party will gain momentum once a new leader is elected.
