After evening their second half Northern League record two night's ago, the Winnipeg Goldeyes now find themselves back in the red.

The Fish gave up 12 hits en route to suffering a 7-4 loss to Joliet, dropping their record to 1-2.

Scoring for the Goldeyes were Fehlandt Lentini, David Gates and Jimmy Hurst crossed home plate twice.

Winnipeg Coach, Steve Maddock, says that it never fails, when their opposition is allowed a walk they usually make it count as that runner ends up scoring and more often than not, it happens in the late stages of the game. He adds that when it comes right down to it, his club simply needs to be able to bring runs in and yield increased production with men of their own in scoring position.

The Goldeyes will get a chance to work out any nagging problems in their game with a night off this evening, but will return to action tomorrow night at home when they open a three game set with the RedHawks.
