1963 – 2022

Service Details Update:

The Memorial Service for Jeff Anderson will take place on Saturday, April 30th, 2022, at 1:30 pm, at the Meyers Norris Penny Exhibition Building on Island Park, Portage la Prairie.

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Jeff Anderson at the age of 58 on February 28th, 2022.

He was predeceased by his father Gilbert, and his two sons Clinton and Wyatt. He leaves to mourn his wife Donna, daughter Anna, mother Shirly Ridley, and sister Colleen Dyck, along with many other family, relatives, and friends.

Jeff was born in Plaster Rock NB, where he grew up and learned to love the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He loved to travel around Canada and lived in many of its beautiful provinces always finding different adventures.

He married and settled down in Manitoba. His greatest joy was being with his family. Jeff always grew a large garden. The bigger the better! It brought him great joy to share the bounty with family and friends.

Many people would know Jeff as “The Bread Man”. For many years he delivered bread in Portage and surrounding areas. He loved meeting people and talking with them. It was a hard job requiring long hours, with every day being a new adventure. You never knew who you’d meet, and the old and new friends you’d run into.

He spent most of his life as a trucker. He always saw the beauty of the world around him. Driving all over Canada, he took his family on trips to show them places he had lived and been. Meseyton’s Construction was what he would call his home job. He would go try different jobs from time to time, always returning to Meseyton’s. He was a loyal, hard-working man who always shared his knowledge with anyone who’d ask.

Jeff had the best smile – an infectious smile… that will be forever missed!
