Just before 5 p.m. Thursday, the MacGregor fire department responded to a semi-trailer on its side in the ditch near the community. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported in the single-vehicle incident.

Freezing rain fell all around the area on Wednesday and many road surfaces are still showing ice-covered and slippery sections. Conditions are expected to clear somewhat Friday after on and off flurries for most of the week. The sun should also make an appearance for part of the day Friday. No snow or freezing rain is expected through the weekend and temperatures for the most part should be slightly above average for the time of year.
