Peacefully on November 22nd, 2022 with family by his side in his home at the Douglas Campbell Lodge, Portage la Prairie, MB. Mr. Harold Arthur “Roy” Braden entered into rest at the age of 88 years.

Roy was born on September 16th, 1934 in Portage la Prairie where he spent most of his life working having only two specific jobs. One was surveying and the other was the Campbell’s Soup Company where he worked until his retirement.

He was a humble, kind, dedicated worker and loved being a son, husband, father, brother, and friend to many. His smile would light up a room and always make you feel welcome.

Roy and Sharon spent their life adoring each other and created many happy memories through family, friends, and travel.

He was predeceased by his parents Harold & Jessie (nee Davis) Braden, brothers Earl “Allan”, Ronald “Keith”, parents-in-law James & Emma (nee Fisher) Stait, sisters in-law Verona (nee Stait) Rush and May Braden.

Roy leaves to mourn his passing and will be forever missed by his wife of 66 years Sharon Maureen (nee Stait) Braden, son Brian (Carla) Braden, daughter Bonni-Lee (Billy) Houle, grandchildren David (Tarilyn) Braden, Breanne (James) Galston, Jamal (Spencer) Cleaver, Zachary (Janelle) Houle, great grandchildren Zahara, Leland, Kinley, Jayce, Jordyn, Zachary, and soon to arrive baby Poppy. He also leaves behind his sister in-law Leora Braden, and brother in-law Frank Rush, along with many special nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews, and cousins.

Being that Roy was such an animal lover, in expression of sympathy if friends so desire, donations may be made to P.A.W.S., or to a charity of one’s choice.

Roy’s family will celebrate his life privately. To leave messages of condolence, please visit www.ronaldmoffitmemorialservices.com
