Well, they are not the longest-married couple in the area. However, Walter and Carol Hargest have been married for a long time. It was 1958 when they tied the knot on a rainy and wet day in Elm Creek.

The search is on and we now have a new couple on top of the leaderboard. If you know of someone that has been married for a long time, add them to our list on our Facebook page

Viola won Thomas Rhett tickets this morning because Dr. Love says she and Stanley have a 98% chance of making it. After 49 years - I think he's probably right. (tickets for Thomas here - great gift for today)

There is zero science to the love calculator used for the contest but if you want to play along, you'll find the love calculator here.

Last minute ideas needed? Well cupid may be busy today shooting down spy balloons but you can still impress by trying one of these:

1.  Romantic walk through Island Park and then go out for a treat or dessert. Wait a minute, the wind will be gusting to 70 tonight and the windchill will be -35. Save this for another year. (forecast here)

2.  The fancy fast food date where you both dress up in your nice clothes, bring along a tablecloth and silverware, and head to McDonald's to visit Kelsie and her team! Order a few courses and even dessert!

3.  Buy some interesting ingredients from places like Sobey's, Homestead Co-op, or Panko's, and then head home for a do-it-yourself make-your-own meal together dinner date.

4. If #3 sounds too complicated, then how about a heart-shaped pizza from Boston Pizza, Portage? The delicious food and ambiance of Mr. Mikes Steakhouse Casual is always great. And of course, you can never go wrong with Bill's Sticky Fingers!

5. Turn your place into a "spa" with candles and the right music (playlist ideas below), then give them an hour-long massage.  They will no longer care if you didn't take them to a fancy restaurant. Mil Jeanne Flowers and Axcenz or Always a Florist would be happy to help you out.
