The annual MacGregor Elementary School art show took place on Tuesday, and family and friends of the students were welcomed to a visual display of the student's abilities.

Adrianna Boychuk teaches Grade 7-8 math, social studies, and also Grades 1 to 8 art. She outlines how the evening went.

"We have a nice big display and invite families and friends to come out, then we had the Grade 5-6 choir and grade 3-4 choir coming to sing," says Boychuk. "It's just a really good evening. We set up a lot on Tuesday afternoon and then it was from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m."

She notes they received a great turnout.

"A lot of people said it was really nice to see everyone's artwork. I didn't really get a chance to talk to too many people, but it was pretty busy," continues Boychuk. "There was painting, some sculptures, printmaking, watercolour paints, and mixed media. Our music teacher brought his grade 5-6 and 3-4 choir down, and they did a couple songs throughout the evening."

Boychuk adds the kids are always really excited about it and it's a way in which they can show themselves off, noting they take the entire year's efforts in art, and display them all at one time.
