The Gimli RCMP are searching for a 14-year-old girl after she was reported missing earlier this week.

Police say on July 18th, they received a call reporting that Patience Courchene from Winnipeg Beach was missing. She was last seen on July 17th at 5 a.m. when her family member was leaving for work. She was last heard from later that day, when she sent a text at 1:40 p.m.

She's described as five foot, five inches tall, 130 pounds, with straight, shoulder-length dark brown hair, crooked teeth and brown eyes. She normally wears glasses, but she didn't leave her home with them when she was last seen.

RCMP believe that she may be in Winnipeg.
