There were 5 games in the NHL last night, the Calgary Flames picked up their 7th win in a row on home ice defeating Columbus 2-1.
In other NHL action last night the Sabres topped the Rangers 4-3 in a shootout, with the win Buffalo is the fifth team in league history to accumulate 20 wins in 25 games.  Elsewhere New Jersey snapped a four game losing streak as they defeated the Penguins 5-2.  The Blackhawks are 2-0 under new coach Denis Savard, they dumped St. Louis 5-2.  And the Wild were shut out for the first time in 93 games, falling 3-0 to Detroit.
