Ernest “Ernie” Peter Duchak of Portage la Prairie, passed away at Portage District General Hospital on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the age of 82 years

Ernie was predeceased by his parents Peter and Julia Duchak; sister Frances Adamski and brother Bill Duchak. He is survived by his children Don Duchak of Portage la Prairie, Bev (Mark) Melnychuk of Portage la Prairie, Cindy (Geoff) Ruchkall of Niagara Falls, Bob Davis of Winnipeg, Maureen Shwaluk of Calgary and Naomi (Curtis) Shumka of Calgary; siblings Elsie (Morley) Voss of Portage la Prairie, Frank Duchak of Portage la Prairie, Pat Kolida of Dauphin and Ron Duchak of Calgary; 9 grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

A committal service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015 at the Columbarium at Evergreen Memorial Gardens at 1:30 pm. Please meet at McKenzie's Portage Funeral Chapel at 1:15 to proceed to the cemetery.

Reception will follow at McKenzie's Portage Funeral Chapel
