The growing humanitarian needs in the Middle East is affecting requests of the Canadian Red Cross.

Spokesperson Rob Wozny extends the invite further than the larger urban centres, and encourages rural Manitoba as a whole to respond.  He's specifically looking for financial donations due to the nature of their two-pronged humanitarian efforts, providing assistance to not only returning Canadians but internationally as well.

Wozny wants people to realize a situation similar to that of the middle east can happen anywhere, further adding depth to the importance of a donation.  Offices in Brandon and Dauphin are currently accepting donations to provide general necessities.
