The 2005-2006 fiscal year ended with a deficit for the Interlake Regional Health Authority.

It was $230,000.00, but CEO Kevin Beresford points out that's one-quarter of one per cent of their annual budget. He stresses it won't be a problem next year -- the RHA's cash situation is good, and extra provincial funding means no problems delivering services.

Beresford adds they've experienced surpluses and deficits over the last several years, with a minimal net effect, particularly in their ability to deliver service.
