The Dakota First Nation's new  debit card for accessing social assistance was well received at the recent Assembly of First Nations conference in Vancouver.

Dakota Tipi will be the first to try these cards that will eliminate the need to travel to large urban centres when cashing their government cheques. Chief Cornell Pashe is gearing up for the card's start date on August 2nd.

Information was in a BC paper during the conference. Pashe adds he had a booth set up that was always busy with people wanting more information about the card.
