Notre Dame is in the early stages of constructing a new wellness facility in the community. Officials are aiming the construction of the Lourdeon Wellness Center will be complete by June.
Spokesman Paul Cennerini says the facility will include a clinic, dentist, massage therapist, psychiatrist, child care, and a library.
Cennerini adds the majority of the center is a community effort.
He says they have raised 50% of the funds needed to build the center.
Total cost is estimated at 3.1 million dollars.
Cennerini says they hope to have an answer to stoping the run away cost of health care.
He says there needs to be more focus on prevention of illnesses which he believes the community approach to health will provide.
