The Town of Carberry was finally able to get back together for its first town-wide garage sale since 2019.

Economic development officer Elicia Funk says it was so wonderful to see members of the community out and about on June 18th after having to cancel the event for the past couple of years. She mentions they had tons going on throughout the day.

"We had 45 houses signed up for the town-wide yard sale," explains Funk. "The firemen here also have their firemen's breakfast and they served 763 people at that."

Funk adds she had a hard time getting to all of the houses for the event as everybody had so much for sale since they had to wait for a few years. Funk mentions the thing she enjoyed most about the sale was just being able to chat with all the people from the community, as well as those who traveled to Carberry for the sale.

"It was really wonderful seeing our community come together," notes Funk. "And we definitely hope for a lot more of these types of activities (in the future)."

She notes they're thrilled about what's in store for Carberry in the near future.
