The Portage la Prairie RCMP are asking for public assistance with finding a suspect after multiple break and enters occurred last month, on June 25th.
According to the police report, Portage RCMP received two reports of attempted break and enters into residences in the 700 block of St George Avenue.
The RCMP say that officers attended and observed that the suspect broke a window to gain access to these residences and injured himself in the process.
Officers were able to track him to a nearby business, to which he also gained entry. However, the suspect fled the scene before police arrival.
Officers note that they obtained surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him.
