The Portage Blaze will try to put their troubles in the Winnipeg Women's Soccer League behind them today as they embark on a 3-day tournament in Kenora.

After 11 games this season in the WWSL, despite gritty efforts, the Blaze have just one win to their credit and sit in second last in league standings with 6 points.

Blaze Coach, Bryan Mintenko, admits that the season hasn't been going very well, but this weekend will allow his roster to get away from the pressures of league play. He adds Portage is hoping to make it out of their pool this year and get to the playoffs on Sunday, but either way the tournament is an opportunity take part in some fun, competitive soccer and match their skills with some quality clubs from Ontario.

The Blaze will play this first game tonight at 8:15 versus Rave S.C.
