With a measure of success last week the Portage Blaze return to action this evening in the Winnipeg Women's Soccer League.

The Blaze who compete in the league's second division, fought to a one all draw with the MJ Stars last Wednesday, which was a welcome reprieve from the three game losing streak they had been riding.

As for tonight's match up with Aftica, Portage Coach, Bryan Mintenko, says much like the Blaze, Aftica is a lower ranked division team and because his troops desperately need a win, he says the plan is to play a very organized game, use the team's speedy forwards to their advantage as well as stepping up the overall aggression. He feels if the Blaze successfully execute on their game plan, they should be able to win the game.

So far this year, Portage has a record of 1-6-3, which translates to 6 points and a second last place standing in the division. Aftica is last in Division 2 with a record of 0-8-2 and 2 points to their credit.

Game time at John Blumberg field #8 gets underway at 7:30.
