The recent ruling regarding the smoking ban is causing concern for more then just restaurant owners.

The Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs thinks the province has neglected to consult the first nations regarding law that may infringe treaty or aboriginal rights.

Dakota Plains Chief Orville Smoke explains consultation is needed on the issue and the AMC plans to meet with Premier Doer to discuss the smoking ban.

Smoke thinks this issue may take up to 10 years to be completely resolved.
