The Southport Aeros failed to pick up their first win off the season last night. Despite dominating both possession and territory the Aeros lost 2-0 to AC Slater in the Second Division of the Manitoba Major Soccer League.

AC Slater opened the scoring midway through the first half and added to that lead shortly after, when Southport's keeper couldn't handle a rebound and AC Slater scored for a 2-0 lead.

From that point on Southport unsuccessfully tried to come back continuing to dominate, however.

Aeros Coach, Roger Fooks, is not disappointed with his team's performance. He thought this was the best game his club has played this season and believes AC Slater scored two weak goals against them.

Fooks adds the team is expecting some veterans to return in the near future and hopes a combination of youth and leadership can result in a win for Southport.
