Portage la Prairie experienced numerous power outages throughout the city yesterday.

Due to freezing rain in the area, much of the city, including many downtown businesses were without power for several hours. 

The outages reached as far as north as St. Ambrose and areas to the south were affected as well. 

Oakville, Poplar Point, MacDonald, and Westborne were also impacted.

Most of the power had been restored by mid-afternoon.
