The Beautiful Plains school division is continuing to grow.  Superintendent Jason Young says space has been a challenge in recent years with increasing enrolment, noting they've added three portable classrooms over the summer to bring the total of portable units up to eight.  Young says these classrooms are self-contained with their own heating and cooling systems.  He notes back in September of 2015 they had about seventeen hundred and forty students in the division, adding they were up another fifty-three pupils by the end of that school year.

Young says this fall they're anticipating another fifty children, and by next June the student population should be close to eighteen hundred and fifty kids.  He adds they've continued to grow by a total of about three hundred kids over the last four years in Neepawa.  Young notes they've also continued to add English language programs which are needed to support some of their newcomers.
